The concept of freedom is understood in different ways - for some it means a safe neighbourhood, for others it means a life free of restrictions, the ability to express, act or create. Freedom is not a given, it must be valued and defended. And how do young painters see freedom? This year, the organisers of the Zabolis Art Prize have decided to find out by inviting young painters to submit their works under the theme "The Value of Freedom". The finalists' works were exhibited in an exhibition and the best ones awarded with cash prizes.
